All alone, in a room full of people.

Why do people prefer choosing to be a pessimist than an optimist?
Like when we can consider ourselves lucky that we found ourselves a shelter during a downpour, people usually prefer to curse the rain. When we can consider ourselves lucky that we have food to eat, people prefer to curse how badly it's cooked.

Like in the picture above (shot in one of my counseling room), we can see the toys on the table and the bright colored cushion case. But why do some of us see how slant and dark it is? Why do some of us see the CCTV first other than all the other objects?

I understand that there are many many many things that we can never change.
Somebody once told me that we can change the way we look at them.

Question is, what if no matter how we look at these things that seems bad, is still as bad?
